BREAKING: Governor Cuomo’s Staff Confesses That They Covered Up THOUSANDS Of Nursing Home Deaths

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo was the media’s #1 darling in the time of Coronavirus. He’s received national attention and praise for his handling of the coronavirus pandemic in the Empire State.

For the most part, the media ignored the flaws in his response. The biggest one being his order that demanded nursing homes accept elderly Coronavirus patients who had been dismissed from the hospital.

The order resulted in THOUSANDS of senior deaths in New York. 

In May, the Associated Press recorded that more than 5,300 of the entire country’s 25,000 COVID deaths have occurred in nursing homes or assisted living facilities in New York State.

But as it turns out, that number was just a fraction of the actual deaths, and Andrew Cuomo and his entire staff intentionally mislead the public because the real data “hurt his image.”

They now report more than 15,000 nursing home residents died from the Coronavirus.

A top aide of Governor Cuomo, Melissa DeRosa, admitted earlier this week that she helped to cover up that actual numbers.

She told lawmakers she feared prosecution after President Trump directed his Department of Justice to investigate nursing home deaths in states run by Democrat Governors with orders similar to Governor Cuomo’s.

“Basically, we froze,” DeRosa said. 

“Because then we were in a position where we weren’t sure if what we were going to give to the Department of Justice, or what we give to you guys, what we start saying was going to be used against us, while we weren’t sure if there was going to be an investigation.”

If this admission from Ms. DeRosa is true, this is the COVID-19 equivalent of murdering thousands of people and hiding the bodies from the police.

With the recent news coming to light, top Republicans in New York are coming down hard on Governor Cuomo, calling for his resignation.

State Senator Daphne Jordan released a statement saying, “The truth is finally coming out — it always does — about the continued Cuomo coverup of more than 15,000 tragic deaths in our nursing homes because of his deadly mandate that they accept COVID-19 positive patients. A complete betrayal of the public trust.”

Dutchess County Executive, Marc Malinaro echoed a similar sentiment, saying “For over six months, day after day, in briefing after briefing, Governor Cuomo stood before New Yorkers and lied to their face about his directive that contributed to the deaths of thousands of seniors. In the coming days he will cynically try to convince us that it was for our own good – that it was someone else’s fault. This is another lie.  What is true, is that Andrew Cuomo has proved himself unworthy of our trust, and unfit for public office.”

Though the controversial order  ended on May 10th, Cuomo has yet to see consequences for his blatant disregard for the public health of seniors in his state.

Perhaps justice is finally coming.
