BREAKING: Do You Know Why The Left Hates Kanye West?

Published

on

Recently famous musician, rap artist, businessman, visionary, Kardashian husband, and Trump supporter, Kanye West, caused a major liberal meltdown resulting in his being de-platformed from Twitter and being kicked out of his banking institution (J.P. Morgan).

But what did West even do? When you read the headlines all you’ll find is the vague accusation that West made “antisemitic remarks” on Twitter causing him to be removed and causing his bank to sever ties. But we know that “antisemitic” remarks can mean a lot of things to the progressive mob who will do anything to silence and shut down popular personalities that do not espouse their values. They accused Gina Carano of being “antisemitic” simply for comparing a modern-day situation to the Holocaust.

The stated reason for West’s “cancellation” comes from a tweet that was a screengrab conversation between him and a friend (Sean “Diddy” Combs). In response to Diddy’s criticism of his recent behavior (see below) West rescinded with the following text which he posted to Twitter:

“Ima use you as an example to show the Jewish people that told you to call me that no one can threaten or influence me.”

After being suspended from Twitter for this comment but Kanye rejoined the platform to double down on his comments and say:

“I’m a bit sleepy tonight but when I wake up I’m going death con 3 On JEWISH PEOPLE The funny thing is I actually can’t be Anti Semitic because black people are actually Jew also.

You guys have toyed with me and tried to black ball anyone whoever opposes your agenda.”

It’s unclear exactly what he meant by “death con 3” but one has to assume he meant DEFCON 3 which still is a little unclear what he meant considering DEFCON 3 is a medium-level alert where DEFCON 1 is the worst and 5 is normal and in all cases, those are defensive positions, not offensive ones. Regardless, the comment caused him to be totally de-platformed.

Many critics point out equally as antisemitic commentary which has not caused celebrities to be de-platformed or kicked out of their banking institutions. Consider Whoopi Goldberg who not only appropriates her last name for the purposes of comedy but also stated that jewish people were not persecuted on the basis of race in the holocaust (borderline holocaust denial). She remains employed and her Twitter is active. Consider that Rep. Ilhan Omar has had repeated scandals with her comments about Jewish people including implying that Jewish Americans were loyal to Israel over America, and that they’re money-grubbing. She also – very similarly to West – outright stated that “Israel” was “hypnotizing” people implying that Jewish people are orchestrating elaborate lies to control the broad public. West himself even said “slavery was a choice” in reference to black Americans but that could also be applied to the Jewish community and he was not de-platformed at that time.

But many critics wonder if these certainly borderline but not necessarily threatening or intentionally harmful comments are the real reason for his losing access to his ability to communicate with the world or his bank account.

Here are what many critics believe his real crimes were where the “antisemitic” comments were used as an excuse to shut up a prominent conservative.

  1. Kanye West has been a stalwart supporter of Donald Trump
  1. Kanye West wore a ‘White Lives Matter’ t-shirt with Candace Owens
  1. Kanye West gave a lengthy interview to progressive enemy number 1: Tucker Carlson

These are the real crimes the left cannot excuse. When Kanye West said “George Bush doesn’t care about black people” on national live T.V. famously stunning the nation and Mike Meyers, multiple think pieces were published on how he was actually right. Even in hindsight, think pieces look back and called that moment “woke.” Kanye West’s bombastic, straight forward and wholly consistent political opinions are only offensive now because the left no longer seems to benefit from them.

Was West right about his comments on the Jewish community? Of course not. They were absurd and offensive. But was he making a point that even the smallest offense if added to a stance against progressive values will trigger them to silence you? I think yes.
