How hot is it really in Las Vegas?

July 8, 2024 got to 120 degrees fahrenheit in Las Vegas, Nevada which is the hottest ever in the history of the city and one of the hottest in a populated area in America (Death Valley’s record is 130/134 depending on the data but not a ton of people live there). 

How hot exactly is it in the wild west of America? 

Hot enough to die

Hot enough to bake cookies in your car (temps reaching over 200 degrees inside vehicles) 

Hot enough that the water coming from the pipes feels boiling 

Hot enough to make crayon art 

Not hot enough to keep away visitors

The hottest anything can be without instantly burning human skin

Too hot for helicopters to operate
