BREAKING: Even CNN Can’t Hide Kamala’s Lies Anymore

In a recent interview with MSNBC’s Stephanie Ruhle, Vice President Kamala Harris made a false claim, stating that Donald Trump lost “at least 200,000” manufacturing jobs even before the pandemic. While much of the mainstream media remained quiet, even CNN couldn’t ignore the inaccuracy.

CNN, typically critical of Trump, fact-checked Harris and had to admit that her statement was wrong. According to their report, “Trump presided over a gain of 414,000 US manufacturing jobs” before the pandemic. Despite constant media criticism of Trump’s economic policies, the facts show he was growing, not losing, manufacturing jobs.

Harris, however, didn’t back down. The day after her misleading interview, she repeated the claim on X (formerly Twitter), calling Trump “one of the biggest losers of manufacturing in American history” and continuing to insist he lost nearly 200,000 manufacturing jobs.

The figure Harris seems to be referring to likely comes from the job losses in April 2020, when the pandemic hit and 1.3 million manufacturing jobs were wiped out. However, many of those jobs returned over the following months, and by the time Trump left office, the remaining deficit was down to 178,000—far less than what Harris implied.

Beyond this misleading claim, it’s important to look at the broader economic picture. When Trump left office, inflation stood at just 1.4%, while today it has risen by 20.2%. Gas prices were $2.39 per gallon, but now they’re up to $3.22. Mortgage rates, once at 2.8%, have more than doubled to over 6%, making it harder for Americans to buy homes.

As we move closer to the 2024 election, the economy continues to be a top concern for voters. Kamala Harris may be trying to paint a distorted picture of Trump’s economic record, but the numbers tell a different story. Despite the challenges of the pandemic, Trump left the economy on a strong footing, and voters are unlikely to be swayed by misleading claims.
