Did Sabrina Carpenter get Eric Adams Indicted?

Published

You may have heard of the Pop Diva of the summer and fall, Sabrina Carpenter. Her song ‘Espresso’ is the earworm of the year 2024. At a ‘Short and Sweet’ tour stop this weekend in New York City, the pocket sized blonde remarked “Should we talk about how I got the mayor indicted?”

She was referring to New York City mayor, Eric Adams who has recently been indicted for essentially soliciting bribes and taking illegal campaign contributions. Adams maintains his innocence at this time (and considering the trustworthiness of the Department of Justice, we have every reason to assume his innocence as we are supposed to as a nation anyway).

But what does that have to do with a pop singer?

Carpenter famously filmed a highly controversial music video for her song ‘Feather’ at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, The Williamsburg Church. The video was considered so disrespectful to the church and the catholic faith that the church official who had made the sign off, Monsignor Gigantiello, was relieved of his duties. Whether or not that is an overreaction can be for readers to decide.

Apparently Monsignor Gigantiello may have allegedly made more than just one questionable decision in regard to the church. In securing the indictment for Adams, federal investigators requested from the church correspondence regarding financial transactions between Gigantiello and Adams’s former chief of staff, Frank Carone.

The running joke (or maybe not such a joke) is that Carpenter’s controversial video and the investigation surrounding Gigantiello’s decision to allow the video may have led to the investigation of Eric Adams.

So did the feds use the backdoor of Sabrina Carpenter’s music video to get to Eric Adams? Unknown. Funny if true.
