Well, well, well—looks like we’ve finally found a federal worker who isn’t whining about actually having to prove she deserves a paycheck!

A government employee called into The Breakfast Club and had the audacity—the absolute gall—to say something positive about the Department of Energy’s (DOE) new five-bullet-point requirement for employees. Instead of griping about accountability like so many of her colleagues, she saw it as a chance to highlight her hard work. Imagine that!

“I got the email and I honestly feel like this is a great opportunity to outline what you do as an employee,” she said.

Translation: She understands that getting a taxpayer-funded salary might require just a tiny bit of justification. And guess what? She’s actually excited about it.

“If it’s really good what you outlined, they could give you an opportunity to get a promotion or something,” she continued.

Ah, merit-based advancement—what a novel concept! While others are crying into their government-issued ergonomic chairs, this woman is out here making the case for why she’s worth a raise. It’s almost like she wants to work for her success instead of assuming she’s owed one just for showing up.

Honestly, it’s refreshing to hear from a federal worker who isn’t allergic to accountability. For weeks, the media has been flooded with bureaucrats complaining that having to list their responsibilities is somehow beneath them. Oh no, we have to prove we do something valuable? How dare they!

Meanwhile, this caller is just out here making the rest of them look ridiculous. She understands something simple: If you’re doing a great job, then showing it shouldn’t be a problem. And if you’re not doing a great job… well, maybe that’s why so many of her colleagues are having a meltdown over it.
