You Won’t Believe What This Liberal Judge Did to Help an Illegal Alien Evade Arrest

Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Hannah Dugan was arrested last week for obstructing an official proceeding — and frankly, she deserves every bit of the public scrutiny coming her way.

On April 18, Dugan didn’t just overstep her role as a neutral arbiter of justice — she actively aided and abetted an illegal alien in evading arrest by federal immigration authorities. Eduardo Flores-Ruiz, an illegal alien from Mexico, stood trial that day on three serious domestic abuse charges, including assaulting a woman just a month prior. ICE agents arrived at the courthouse with an active warrant for Flores-Ruiz, prepared to lawfully take him into custody. But instead of facilitating the legal process, Judge Dugan became visibly irate, misdirected the agents to the Chief Judge’s office, and smuggled Flores-Ruiz and his attorney out a back door.

Let that sink in: A sitting judge, tasked with upholding the law, chose to harbor a violent criminal — in front of his victim — undermining both justice and the very system she swore to serve.

Fortunately, Flores-Ruiz was apprehended shortly after this disgraceful spectacle. But the damage to public trust cannot be so easily repaired.

This is not an isolated incident either. Just one day before Dugan’s arrest, a New Mexico judge and his wife were charged for allegedly harboring an illegal immigrant tied to the notorious Tren de Aragua gang. A pattern is emerging — one where officers of the court view themselves as partisans above the law, ready to shield criminals for political reasons, no matter the cost to victims or communities.

Yet predictably, defenders of this lawlessness are already rushing to play politics. Prominent Democrat Rep. Jamie Raskin whined on X that arresting judges for obstructing justice is a “descent into chaos.” No, Congressman. Chaos is when judges turn their courtrooms into sanctuaries for criminals while abandoning the victims they are supposed to protect.

Attorney General Pam Bondi had it right: “No one is above the law.” Not the politically connected. Not the judges. And certainly not illegal aliens facing serious violent charges.

America’s legal system can survive partisanship. What it cannot survive is open contempt for the rule of law from within its own ranks. Judge Dugan’s arrest is not a scandal — it’s an overdue reminder that accountability must apply to everyone equally, or it means nothing at all.
