WOW! Did McConnell Just Prove It’s About Time He Retired Already?

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell spoke out clearly on Tuesday, firmly saying he’s against any efforts to impeach President Joe Biden. He’s worried about how it could affect the country.

But this view doesn’t really reflect what’s happening now in our country. House Republicans have been slowly moving towards starting an impeachment investigation into Biden. This is because they found evidence suggesting he and his family might be involved in schemes where they use their influence for personal gain.

McConnell’s opinion makes sense if we look at what he said before. He mentioned, “I said two years ago, when we had not one but two impeachments [of Donald Trump], that once we go down this path it incentivizes the other side to do the same thing… Impeachment ought to be rare. This is not good for the country.”

This idea has some truth to it, but it’s astounding how out-of-touch it seems. Yes, impeachment SHOULD BE uncommon. But in reality, IT IS NOT. It has become a tool repeatedly used against Republicans, to weaken our position. It’s about time we respond to it!

We can’t ignore that the current government has given plenty of reasons to think about impeachment. Just recently, the House said they’re looking into Biden and his family so much that it might lead to an impeachment investigation. Kevin McCarthy, who’s addressing this issue, said, “I think there’s enough proof out there that this Biden family needs to come forward and show there wasn’t a pay-to-play.”

If McConnell keeps ignoring what’s happening, it might be a good idea for him to think about retiring. He doesn’t seem to understand the complicated plans that are in motion.
