Melania Trump Has Lost Her Mother
Melania Trump’s mother, Amalija Knavs, passed away on January 9 after a long health battle. Despite what the attacks questioning Melania’s loyalty to President Trump and her absence from many public appearances and events may imply, Melania has been dutifully caring for her mother since she has been ill and posted an announcement of her passing this morning.
Knavs was a factory worker in Slovenia before she came to America in 2018. She grew up in eastern Europe working with her family as an onion farmer before getting a job in a children’s clothing factory. Melania cites her mothers work on patterns in this factory as one of her inspirations for getting into the fashion industry.
President Trump offered his love and support for his mother-in-law in a post on Truth.
Many supporters of President Trump offered their condolences to the family.
