BREAKING: Fauci Doubles Down On His Insane Response to Critics
In a new interview with the New York Times Podcast, Dr. Anthony Fauci doubled down on a previous claim that anyone who attacks him is “actually criticizing science.”
It was insane the first time he said it and it’s still insane.
Critics aren’t actually focused on attacking “the science” at all, they’re focused on the flip-flopping Dr. Fauci has been doing since the beginning of COVID-19.
He claims now that he’s not to blame for all the back and forth. It’s the data that changed!
“You work with the data you have at the time,” he said. “It is essential as a scientist that you evolve your opinion and your recommendations based on the data, as it evolves. That is the nature of science. It is a self-correcting process.”
“And that’s the reason why I say people who then criticize me about that are actually criticizing science,” Fauci concluded. “It was not a change because I felt like flip-flopping. It was a change because the evidence changed. The data changed.”
Sure.
His defensiveness, no doubt, is spurred by the release of 2,000 emails that revealed to the public that he lied about the effectiveness of masks, the necessity of business and school closures, and most damningly, that he intentionally downplayed the “lab leak” theory for political reasons.
He even lied about his role in funding the Wuhan lab of virology!
In a weird appearance earlier this month, Fauci referred to himself in the third person and delivered similar remarks, saying “sometimes those things were inconvenient truths for people, and there was pushback against me. So if you are trying to get at me as a public health official, you’re really attacking not only Dr. Anthony Fauci, you are attacking science.”
The NIH director concluded that “anybody that looks at what is going on clearly sees that. You have to be asleep not to see that. Science and the truth are being attacked.”
The self-righteous act isn’t flying with the public.
The Senate is now is demanding a full investigation of Fauci and the NIH — and Dr. Fauci probably thinks that investigation is an attack on science too.
Too bad.
