THROWBACK: MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow Defends Weiner with Conspiracy Theories

Anthony D. Weiner, whose repeated sexting scandals cost him his seat in Congress, his bid to become mayor of New York City, and possibly Hillary Clinton’s chances at the presidency, was sentenced on Monday to 21 months in prison for exchanging nudes with a 15 year old.

Wiener’s aggressive sextual behavior first made headlines when conservative media highlighted a lewd tweet he sent from his personal account. At the time, MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow defended the actions with multiple conspiracy theories.
