Which NFL Icon is stanning Tucker Carlson?
Iconic quarterback Brett Favre has come out in support of Tucker Carlson following his shocking ouster from Fox News late last month.
Favre called on Fox News viewers and asked for a boycott of the network until Tucker Carlson is allowed to speak. Favre is referencing an all-but-confirmed rumor headed by Carlson ally and Fox alum Megyn Kelly that while the show shuttered Carlson’s show, they’re trying to keep him under contract meaning he would not be legally able to have a new show. This move would essentially halt Carlson from reaching his millions of fans nationwide.
Carlson’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, recently made a statement alluding to the truth of these allegations against Fox News saying “the idea that anyone is going to silence Tucker and prevent him from speaking to his audience is beyond preposterous.” Recently terminated Don Lemon has, interestingly enough, also retained Freedman for his representation in the context of his departure from CNN.
Favre was a NFL quarterback for 20 seasons who, prior to his statements on Tucker Carlson, hadn’t originated a tweet in over a year. Favre played the most regular season games in NFL history (297) and is a member of the NFL Hall of Fame.
